Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home announces the passing of Ms. Angie Baitmon Mack, age 72, of Statesboro. Ms. Mack passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Brown's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Statesboro after an extended illness.
Angie Marie Baitmon-Mack was born to the late Sheppard and Rosezena Baitmon on February 16, 1952, in Millen, Georgia. She received her education in Claxton, GA. She was later united in holy matrimony to Oscar Mack, to this union one child was born, Regina. Their journey began on Anthony Street in Statesboro, GA. Later, they relocated to Savannah where she worked with Best Cleaners for many years. Angie was a loving person who spread kindness to everyone she met. With a caring and compassionate heart, she always helped those in need and took care of everyone around her. As the matriarch of her family, she was their rock and foundation.
Later in life, after moving to Savannah, Georgia, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she made countless memories with her family and friends. Her parents, the late Sheppard and Rosezena Baitmon, a sister the late Lula Mae Boyd, and a brother the late Husie Lee Toby all preceded her in death.
Angie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her surviving family. She is survived by her daughter Regina Mack of Atlanta, GA; her brothers Eugene Baitmon of Claxton, GA; Terry (Lenora) Baitmon and Robert Baitmon of Statesboro, GA; and a grandson, Desmond Miller; her sisters Catherine Cousins and Willie Mae Walton both of Millen, GA; Lizzie Baitmon of Ludowici, GA; Shirley (Tracy) Thomas of Silver Springs, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Public viewing for Ms. Angie Baitmon Mack will take place on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The family will be receiving guests for the family visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home.
The Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Agape Worship Center, 810 W Grady Street Extension, Statesboro, GA with Rev. Matthew Lovett, officiating, Elder Donald Chavers, pastor.
Per the wishes of Ms. Baitmon Mack, her final disposition will be cremation.
