Aureon Shavea Grace, a devoted mother and daughter sadly passed away on June 16, 2024 in Glennville, GA. She was born in Statesboro, GA to her parents, Deshonda Hagins Fox and Audrell Grace, Sr., on September 21, 1999.
Aureon graduated from Statesboro High School in 2018, where she undoubtedly left a lasting impact on those around her. Aureon's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She worked as a Corrections officer for the State of Georgia and was currently working with Aramark Corp. as a Kitchen Steward at the Smith State Prison in Glennville, GA. Aureon's dedication to her work was matched only by her love for her children, family, and friends. Her family, friends, and colleagues described her as a kind and respectful young lady with a heart full of love for everyone she met.
Aureon is preceded in death by her grandparents, the late Renae Taylor, Carl Taylor, and Fannie Hagins.
Surviving Aureon are her beloved children Kenzley Grace and Aselen Williams, both of Statesboro, GA. She also leaves behind a loving circle of family and friends: her mother and stepfather, Deshonda M. (Marlon) Hagins-Fox of Statesboro, GA; and her father Audrell Grace, Sr., of Savannah, GA; her bonus mother Ida Daughtry of Sylvania, GA; brothers Audrell (Destiny Mincey) Grace, Jr., and Jametrius Fears, Jr., both of Statesboro, GA; godbrothers, Terry Grace, Jr., Kendrick Grace, Malik Grace; sisters Kali (Ronnie) Washington of Statesboro, GA; Autumn Grace of El Paso, TX; Aubrea Grace and Jashonti Fears both of Statesboro, GA; Zoe Robinson, Aunja Grace both of Sylvania, GA; her god-sister Aysha Scott; as well as her grandparents Isaac Grace and Bobbie Jean (Wesley) Stewart all of Sylvania, GA; and her bonus grandmother Donna Grace; uncles Nakia Hagins, Levert Omoniyi both of Statesboro, GA; Christopher L. Stewart, Carla Taylor, and Nakiki (Robert) Moore all of Atlanta, GA; cousins Jamya Taylor and Keannon Taylor both of Atlanta, GA. Additionally, Aureon is survived by a village of bonus uncles and aunts; Theonka Hall (Edward) of Metter, GA, Louis Grace, Tashi Ominiyi, Tara Roberson, Yachie Lee (Dametrius), and Alexis McClouden (Eric), and one bonus uncle Joseph Nunnally all of Statesboro, GA.
In this time of loss, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Aureon and the legacy of love she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
A public viewing for Ms. Grace will be held from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home. The family will receive guests for the family visitation to follow from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a Memorial Balloon release for Aureon at 7:30 PM on the same night at the funeral home. The balloon colors are white and purple.
The Funeral Services to honor the life of Aureon Shavea Grace will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Saint Mary's Missionary Baptist Church, 2227 Mallard Pond Road, Statesboro, GA with Elder Donald Chavers, officiating and Rev. Timotheos Mincey, Pastor.
Burial will follow at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Brooklet, GA.
Pallbearers will be Terry Grace, Jr., Kendrick Grace, Dy'Jajuan Baldwin, Jarvis Lockett, Sammie Williams, and Caleb Bishop.
Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home, LLC is in charge of final arrangements.
