Cesar Antonio Sevilla

Mr. Cesar Antonio Sevilla, age 68, of Statesboro passed into eternal rest Monday, December 4, 2023, at his residence after a brief illness. Cesar was born in Tela, Atlantida, Honduras on October 20, 1955, to his parents, the late Julio Cesar Sevilla and the late Sybil Leola Solomon.

Cesar earned his General Education Diploma. He also enlisted in the United States Army and served in the United States Army for six years. His last duty assignment was with A Company, 2/21st Infantry, Forscom FC in Fort Stewart, GA. While serving in the United States Army, Cesar had earned many awards such as the Expert Infantry Badge and the Army Service Ribbon. He was also an expert rifleman, earning the Expert Rifle Ribbon and an award for 2nd Class Hand Grenade.  Cesar received an Honorable Discharge in 1981.

Cesar's memories will forever be cherished by his wife, Della Snell Sevilla of Statesboro, GA; his children, April Monique Sevilla of FL; Cesar Sevilla, Jr. of MD; Emmanuel Sevilla of Brunswick, GA; and Carlos Zavier Sevilla of Statesboro, GA; a brother, Julio (Elizabeth) Sevilla and a sister, Elina Sevilla all of Honduras; a sister-in-law, Rosa Snell of Dublin, GA; brothers-in-law, Roy Snell, James Snell and T.J. (Lisa) Snell all of Dublin, GA. Cesar is also survived by 4 grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Public viewing for Mr. Cesar Sevilla will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home from Noon to 6:00PM.

Funeral services for Mr. Sevilla will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in the Ollie B. Holland Memorial Chapel at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home with Rev. Frankie Owens officiating.

There will be a repast/fellowship gathering following the services before burial at the funeral home from noon until 1:30 P.M.

Interment services with full military honors will be held after the funeral service and fellowship gathering at 3:00 P.M. at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 8819 Highway 301 S, Glennville, GA 30427.
