Hilda Ellis Williams, age 83, of Statesboro passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, at her residence under the care of Affinis Hospice after an extended illness. Hilda was a native and lifelong resident of Statesboro.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, the late Garfield and Frances Adams Ellis, her husband, the late Walter Williams, sisters, the late Stella Mae Ellis and the late Dorothy Ellis and her former son-in-law, the late Daniel Brack.
She leaves her memories to be cherished by her daughter, Arlene Brack of Statesboro, GA; five sisters, Rosa Lee Devine of Savannah, GA; Mattie Sue (Willie) Herrington of Statesboro, GA; Betty Ann Banner of Savannah, GA; Ruthie Hill of Statesboro, GA; and Willie Pearl (Damon) Ellis-Laury of Waldorf, Maryland.; three brothers Willie Ellis of Statesboro, GA; Bobby Ellis of Ft. Pierce, FL; and Jimmy Lee (Tisha) Ellis of Atlanta, GA; one grandson, Domonique Brack of Statesboro, GA; two great grandchildren, Heaven Aniyah Brack and Daniel Raheem Brack both of Statesboro, GA; she also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephew's other relatives and friends.
Public visitation for Ms. Williams will be Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 3:00PM to 6:00PM and family visitation from 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the Joanna Holland Fields visitation room at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home.
The Funeral Services for Ms. Williams will be held 1:00PM Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Hodges Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John Harmon, Pastor/officiating. Interment will follow at the Eastside Cemetery on Northside Drive.
Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home is in charge of final arrangements.
