Jamaryce Taquan Ahmadge Mincey, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 23. He was born on January 20, 2001, in Statesboro, Georgia.
He is preceded in death by his father Jacob Maurice Wilkerson, grandmother Carolyn Mincey, and his grandfather James Lee Allen, Sr. Jamaryce, affectionately known as "Jmo" was known for his love of football and basketball. He earned his High School Diploma in December 2020 and had a bright future ahead of him.
He is survived by his loving mother Terri Mincey of Statesboro, GA; his maternal grandparents Kathy (Wendell) Mincey Rich, Willie Mae Allen, James Lee Allen Jr., and Terry Clifton all of Statesboro, GA; his paternal grandparents Jackie Wilkerson Huff and Ronnie Jones of Statesboro, GA; his paternal great-grandparents Arthur Wilkerson and Dorothy Hilton Wilkerson of Statesboro, GA; his brothers Darius Clarington of Albany, GA, Travalas Mincey, Kyrie Hamilton; and his sister Kasha Mincey all of Statesboro, GA. Jamaryce is also survived by numerous aunts: Shanika Mincey, Nicole Carolyn (Johnny Stephens) Mincey, Destiny (Dominic Gillis) Clifton, Giana Jones, Tyra Clifton, Eboni Jackson, Shardai Jackson, Indigo H. Lovett and India Lovett all of Statesboro, GA; as well as uncles: Rodney Hawkins, Terry Clifton Jr., Trey Allen III, Terry Brinson Jr., and Courtney Joyce all of Statesboro, GA; and a host of other family members and friends.
Jamaryce will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
The family will receive guests for the family visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a balloon release honoring the memory of Jamaryce at 7:00 PM. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Mincey will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Elm Street Church of God with Rev. Alexander Smith, Pastor, Officiating, and Pastor Lisa Deloach, Presiding. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
Interment will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Nunnally, Courtney Joyce, O'neal Wilson, Steven Henry, Wendell Rich, and Terry Clifton
