Statesboro, Georgia
John Edward Taylor was born on January 3, 1957, in Statesboro, Georgia, to the late Clyde Taylor and Arnelia Chavers Taylor.
John was a man who often enjoyed his own company and mostly kept to himself. Yet, whenever he was around others, he never met a stranger. He possessed a warm and welcoming spirit that allowed him to connect easily with people. Whether he had known someone for many years or had only just met them, John had a special way of making others feel comfortable, accepted, and at ease in his presence.
His personality left a lasting impression on those who had the opportunity to know him. Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, the memories he created, the conversations shared, and the moments spent together will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Taylor and Arnelia Chavers Taylor, and his siblings, Annie Clyde Jackson, Tommy Taylor, Clyde Taylor, Carl Taylor, and Bobby Taylor.
John leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Jonathon Taylor of Brooklet, GA; his siblings, Erlean Chavers, Eula Mae Young, Claude Lee Taylor, Charles Taylor, Larry Donell Taylor, Leon Ponder, Tony Ponder, and Mary Dell Taylor, all of Statesboro, GA; along with a host of other relatives, extended family members, and friends.
John Edward Taylor will be remembered for his quiet nature, welcoming personality, and his ability to make those around him feel as though they had known him for a lifetime. His presence may no longer be seen, but his personality, his legacy, and the memories he leaves behind will live on forever.
