Kathleen Perry, a vibrant spirit and cherished caregiver, left this world on December 2, 2024, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Born on November 4, 1963 to her parents, the late Ollie Mae and Tom Williams, Kathleen was the joy in the lives of many, a woman who had an unwavering passion for nurturing children and an infectious love for laughter and fun that brightened the days of everyone she met.
Educated in the Bulloch County School System, Kathleen embraced her role as a childcare giver with open arms and an open heart. Her life was dedicated to the well-being of children; she often cared for them without seeking financial compensation, showing her commitment to their happiness and security. She believed that every child deserved love, care, and nourishment. Her home was always welcoming, a sanctuary for any child in need, and a meeting place for the community where laughter and joy abounded.
Kathleen's deep-seated love for cooking and baking became legendary among her family and friends. She opened her kitchen to both children and adults alike, ensuring that no one went hungry. The meals she prepared and the treats she baked were not just food but an expression of love, comfort, and warmth.
Though she has been reunited with her beloved husband, the late James Perry, who previously passed away, and her siblings Tom Ed Williams, Willie J. Williams, and Mattie Lou Rivers, the love and light she brought to the lives of her living family remain a testament to her legacy.
Kathleen is lovingly remembered by her sons, Damation Williams of Statesboro, GA; and Timothy Williams of Utah; and her sister, Mary A. Lambert of Metter, GA; along with her brothers Stanley Williams of Jacksonville, FL; and Randy (Sabria) Williams of Statesboro, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kathleen Perry’s life was profound in its simplicity—a heart filled with love, a spirit eager to serve, and laughter that resonated long after her voice had faded. She leaves behind not only a family that will forever cherish her memories but a community that has felt the impact of her kindness. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched, reminding us all of the power of love and care.
The family will receive guests for the family visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
