Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home announces the passing of Ms. Lisa M. Slater-Merritt, age 59, of Guyton, GA. Ms. Merritt passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Ms. Merritt was born on March 1, 1964, in Albany, GA to her parents, the late Norman Slater and Mary Ela Bartlett-Macey who preceded her in death. Lisa was a graduate of Westwood High School in Camilla, GA. She had been residing in Guyton, GA for the last 4 years.
Ms. Merritt leaves her memories to be cherished by her children, Mrs. Heather (Brittany) Merritt-Clemmons of Panama City, FL; Brandon Scott Merritt of Albany, GA; and her stepfather, Wayne Macey of Albany, GA.
Per Ms. Merritt's wishes, her final method of disposition will be by cremation with a private service to follow at a later date.
