Sherry "Lizz" Williams

October 19, 1979 — August 10, 2024

Statesboro, GA

Sherry "Lizz" Williams was born on October 19, 1979. She departed this world and gained her wings on August 10, 2024, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was and will always be remembered for being 100 percent real and being herself.

In her memory, we honor a beautiful soul whose kindness and compassion touched everyone she met. She was a true angel on earth, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her unwavering love and dedication were evident in the way she raised her three beautiful children, Deshauana, Xavier, and Jalisa, through life's challenges, never wavering in her commitment to them.

She shared nearly 16 years of deep, abiding love with her soulmate, Krys Hillard, who cherished her. Named after her wonderful mother, Sherry Funderburk, she carried her name with pride and grace.

The impact of her presence was so profound that even those who only knew her from brief encounters were moved to tears upon hearing of her passing. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit continues to cover us with warmth and love.

Her absence leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew her. Until we are reunited, we will hold her memory close and cherish the love she so freely gave. She will be missed dearly.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home, LLC is in charge of final arrangements.
